Stone Bowls & Tools

Learn how to make your own stone bowl. Utilizing "user friendly" materials, students will learn the ancient pecking and grinding techniques that indigenous people have used for thousands of years. These techniques were used to make everything from stone bowls to the Mayan Pyramids. Bowl making will be the focus of this course but we will also cover pecked and ground axes, celts, pestles, metates, and effigies. All materials will be provided.
