Basketry Series

The Earthwalk Northwest Basketry Series is an exploration of basketry suitable for both beginning and experienced weavers. Weaving with natural materials we will create six distinct styles of baskets while learning the foundation teachings of coiling, twining, plaiting, and sewn birch bark baskets. Each month a weekend on Saturday and Sunday will begin the session, with finishing work done on the one or two Monday evenings listed. This is a unique opportunity to study with and be mentored by a master weaver, learning traditional basketry techniques while bringing the skills to the present. Sessions on natural dyes, materials, and harvesting.
