Primitive Fishing

Indigenous peoples relied upon the bounty of the waters for sustenance. They successfully provided for themselves by mastering fishing skills. Learn these ancient techniques while making your own fish spear and arrows. We’ll practice bow fishing and spearing at a nearby waterway with your newly made tools. Additional instructions will be given on water stalking, fishing traps and weirs, and net making and dipping, as well as how to preserve your catch by drying and smoking.
