Folded Bark Basketry (Day Class)

One of the easiest and most useful baskets to make is the folded bark basket. Join us to learn the "secrets of the fold" while creating your own basket from cedar bark. Split cedar root will be used to sew the rim and stitch the sides together. While you sew, Karen will reflect upon the importance of cedar in the northwest coast culture. As time permits, you may twine a carrying strap to add to your newly made creation.
