Spring Roots & Shoots

The Yakima area offers a unique opportunity to harvest traditional roots still enjoyed by Native Americans today. Join us while we identify, harvest, and prepare the bounty which thrives in this valley. Wild spring shoots are beginning to emerge, ready for us to harvest and prepare. Traditional cooking and preparation techniques will be demonstrated using wild plants. This course offers an opportunity to visit a variety of plant habitats so we may explore the vast diversity of the area.
