Nature Awareness & Tracking

During this course students will be guided through progressive exercises to help open and deepen all of their senses. Learn how to move quietly and unnoticed across the landscape, allowing you to observe wildlife without alarming it. While on guided walks, study a variety of animal sign, learning to identify specific markings including chews, rubs, scrapes, hair, and scat. Workshops in animal track identification will include making an extensive collection of plaster casts to take home with you. A variety of awareness techniques will be demonstrated and practiced enabling you to get closer to wildlife and deepen your connection to nature, so as to fully partake in its beauty.
