Wild Edible Plants of the Cascades

What plants would you harvest to survive in the Cascade Mountains? While hiking local trails, learn to identify some of our most useful plants and berries usable for emergency or survival. Spend the morning with local expert, Karen Sherwood, as she teaches plant safety, ethical harvesting, and how to identify our best wild edibles. The program will conclude with a sampling of several of our favorite wild plant dishes easily prepared in emergency conditions. Karen will also share some of her fabulous wild foods recipes she enjoys preparing for friends and family.
